Service Works Inc. in Farmingdale, N.J., was engaged to assess Somerset Healthcare’s fragmented security environment, which included seven independent recording systems, more than 100 mostly analog cameras, and aging equipment that hindered centralized monitoring and scalability. Service Works evaluated options and selected Salient Systems—using CompleteView, Salient capture cards and hybrid NVR approaches—to provide a migration path from analog to IP while preserving existing cameras and infrastructure.

Salient Systems implemented a centrally managed CompleteView solution with capture-card-based head ends and hybrid NVRs over the hospital’s fiber network, added IP license-plate cameras, and consolidated all video into a 24/7 operations center. The deployment unified 100+ cameras onto one platform, delivered markedly better playback and image quality, enabled remote and multi-location monitoring, simplified training and investigations, and allowed capture cards to be traded in for IP licenses at no extra cost—lowering total cost of ownership and improving overall security management.
