A Salient Systems Case Study

Preview of the New Hampshire Liquor Commission Case Study

New Hampshire Liquor Commission is all in on IP video surveillance

The New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) faced rising sales, added stores and a growing need to reduce internal and external theft while keeping product on the shelves. To modernize statewide video surveillance, integrator Griffon Security Technologies answered the RFP and deployed an open-platform solution centered on Salient Systems’ Salient VMS, chosen for its camera-agnostic design, versatility and ease of use.

Griffon implemented an all‑IP system with upgraded cameras and Salient VMS across all 80 state‑owned facilities (60 stores upgraded in 2016, the remainder completed soon after), improving loss prevention and facility security. The upgrades supported NHLC during a record FY2016 ($678.4M in sales, a $36.3M increase) and contributed to continued revenue delivery to the state (including $156M to the General Fund and $3M to the Alcohol Fund); Salient Systems’ platform also comes with dependable server hardware, and the program includes staff training and a 10‑year maintenance agreement.
