Friedman Properties, a major owner/operator in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, needed to modernize an aging analog security estate to better protect its tenants and assets across more than 50 properties. Facing limited bandwidth and the inability of legacy DVRs to handle high‑resolution IP camera traffic, Friedman engaged Salient Systems to move to an all‑IP video management approach using Salient’s CompleteView solution.

Salient Systems implemented CompleteView as the head‑end VMS (paired with Axis cameras), centralizing video to a command center in the Greenway Garage and enabling dynamic remote access across roughly 40 building sites and nearly 500 IP cameras. The CompleteView deployment improved remote monitoring, motion‑triggered alarms, and remote door unlocks for tenants, reduced the expense of roaming security guards, and delivered a more dependable, scalable security platform for Friedman Properties.
