A Salient Process Case Study

Preview of the TMB Bank Case Study

TMB Bank - Customer Case Study

TMB Bank, one of Thailand’s largest banks, needed a better way to understand customer data across its 450 branches, respond faster to changing lending needs, and comply with increasingly complex regulations. Salient Process helped support this effort with an IBM-based solution using enterprise content management, service-oriented architecture, and business rules management tools to centralize customer information and improve decision-making.

With the Salient Process solution, TMB Bank centralized current credit data in a single repository so updates could flow quickly across business units and banking applications. The bank reduced loan processing time from months to about two weeks, cut its nonperforming loan ratio from 12.7% to 8.3%, lowered its year-over-year cost-to-income ratio by 17%, and shortened time to market for new products from three months to two weeks.
