Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service needed to improve the efficiency of its processes after funding cuts put pressure on budgets and frontline services. Working with vendor Salient Process, the organization focused on business process management and process redesign using IBM Blueworks Live and IBM Business Process Manager on Cloud.
Salient Process helped Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service build a collaborative, cloud-based process modeling and automation platform, supported by IBM Db2 on Cloud and integration tools for legacy data. The result was a 60%–90% reduction in process development and deployment times, improved data quality, and the ability to share systems and processes more easily across fire services, including an 80% time savings in a cloud-based firefighter recruitment process.
