War Child reaches more children in conflict zones with Salesforce

War Child UK supports children and families affected by conflict, providing reunification, psychosocial support and education. Faced with 32 million displaced children worldwide, the charity needed to grow sustainably—scaling programmes, increasing and tracking funding, reducing manual processes, and improving transparency so donors could see the impact of their gifts.

By adopting Salesforce (Nonprofit Success Pack) as an end-to-end platform, War Child centralized donor and programme data, automated workflows, enabled real-time reporting, and tracked how donations translate into outcomes. The system boosted fundraising and donor stewardship (e.g., anniversary alerts, focus on monthly donors), improved efficiency and collaboration, and helped War Child quadruple its budget to £17M and grow beneficiaries from 28,000 to 160,000 between 2012 and 2017, with further scale-up plans underway.
