Preview of the UNHCR Case Study

UNHCR - Customer Case Study

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, protects and supports millions of forcibly displaced people worldwide, operating in 134 countries with urgent, large-scale responses such as the Rohingya emergency. Facing rising costs and heavy reliance on government funding (about 86% of income) — and an annual budget of $8.6 billion — UNHCR set an ambitious goal to raise $1 billion a year from the private sector by 2025 and needed better ways to build donor relationships, track spending, and connect global fundraising teams.

To accelerate private fundraising and improve collaboration, UNHCR has used Salesforce since 2014 to manage the donor lifecycle and process payments in multiple currencies, and is expanding capabilities with Service Cloud, Sales Cloud and the Nonprofit Success Pack. These tools streamline donor engagement, boost efficiency across remote teams, and strengthen global coordination, helping UNHCR work faster and smarter to reach its fundraising target and maximise relief impact.
