Stemettes helps more girls realise their potential and their career dreams with apps and analytics

Stemettes is a UK nonprofit that runs panels, hackathons, mentoring and an incubator to inspire girls aged 5–21 into STEM careers, tackling a persistent gender imbalance in science, technology, engineering and maths. As the organization grew, fragmented records and manual survey entry made it hard to measure event impact, manage contacts and scale programs effectively.

By adopting Salesforce.org’s Nonprofit Success Pack, the Salesforce1 mobile app and an integrated app (Oto the B), Stemettes automated feedback, centralized event and participant records, and enabled mobile event checklists and alumni collaboration via Chatter. The changes cut hours of manual work, improved visibility and reporting to sponsors, helped demonstrate impact (one panel lifted interest in STEM from 35% to over 50%), supported nearly 10,000 participants to date, and positioned Stemettes to scale and attract mentors and funding.
