Sanergy is a Nairobi-based social enterprise tackling the global sanitation crisis by franchising low-cost Fresh Life Toilets, collecting waste, and converting it into fertilizer and energy. Serving more than 12,000 people daily in Kenyan slums, the organisation empowers local micro-entrepreneurs but needed accurate, actionable metrics to track every toilet, franchise, loan and kilo of waste across its value chain.

By deploying Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and the Salesforce Platform as its “central brain,” Sanergy now measures marketing effectiveness, profitability of every toilet and franchise, and operational metrics that drive smarter decisions. The system has supported collection of over 1,400 metric tons of waste, rollout of 300 toilets through 154 operators, pilots for mobile data collection for 120 staff, and planned integrations for engineering and inventory to scale toward a goal of reaching 500,000 people.
