A Salesforce for Nonprofits Case Study
The University of San Diego, a nationally recognized Catholic university, faced a growing gap between students who live on mobile devices and its largely nonresponsive web presence and basic mobile tools. USD also lacked a unified way to track student participation in campus events, so valuable out-of-class engagement data was scattered, inconsistent, and costly to collect.
USD implemented a Mobile First strategy and built a suite of Salesforce-based mobile apps (including Insight, mySDMobile and others), plus an Event Checkāin app and campus kiosks that feed a central CRM. The integrated solution created a 360-degree student view, improved analytics and advising, boosted app adoption (for some apps from ~10% to about 70%), and strengthened engagement and student success.
