Salesforce Helps Tidewater Community College Capture 100% More Prospects for its Funnel

Tidewater Community College (TCC), a multi-campus institution in Virginia serving more than 34,000 students, faced shrinking enrollment pressure from a strong economy and increased competition from online and four-year schools. With prospective students having more choices and enrollment tied to economic cycles, TCC needed a smarter, more service-oriented way to attract and enroll students and personalize communications beyond a “one size fits all” approach.

TCC deployed Salesforce.org Education Cloud (including Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Pardot) to unify its CRM with web forms and the student information system, automate targeted communications, and track prospects through dashboards. The result: front-end data capture more than doubled, first-time college enrollments rose 5%, overall retention improved by 1%, and staff can proactively identify and remove enrollment roadblocks.
