A Salesforce for Nonprofits Case Study
Oxford Said Business School, part of the University of Oxford, faced a highly competitive education market and rising customer expectations. Its sales, marketing and student services were fragmented across multiple CRMs and spreadsheets, creating poor visibility into student journeys, inefficient onboarding, limited cross‑selling and GDPR compliance risks.
In 2017 the School implemented a unified Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Social Studio) used by 300+ staff to automate processes, consolidate data and run targeted engagement journeys. The change delivered personalized, segmented communications and a single view of each student, improved marketing measurement (cost‑per‑lead, channel ROI), easier GDPR compliance and stronger recruitment and cross‑sell performance — turning interactions “from black and white to colour.”
