Sacred Heart Cathedral deepens prospective student and donor relationships

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, founded in 1852 and the oldest Catholic school in San Francisco with over 1,300 students, faced a challenge scaling highly personalized admissions and donor engagement: a four-person Admissions team needed a way to track many early touchpoints with prospective students and their families, while the Advancement office sought a relationship-focused system to manage alumni and donor interactions across shared contacts.

By implementing Salesforce (Sales Cloud and Community Cloud) for Admissions and Advancement, SHC centralized student, family, financial aid, event, and alumni data and gave applicants a self-service portal for decisions and information. The result: faster, single-entry reporting, quicker data imports, richer touchpoint tracking that lets staff personalize outreach, and stronger relationships with prospective students, families, alumni, and donors.
