Plymouth University set out to place students at the centre of their experience but faced fragmented processes across recruitment, admissions, careers and research, with time-consuming paper-based workflows and siloed departments across multiple campuses. The university needed a connected campus and a single, 360-degree view of each student’s journey from prospecting to employment.

Using a phased, agile rollout of Salesforce (Sales Cloud, App Cloud, Community Cloud, with Marketing Cloud planned), Plymouth centralized student and partner data, automated admissions and clearing workflows, enabled online interview scheduling, and supported an 80+ person clearing call centre. The result: unified departments, major administrative efficiencies replacing spreadsheets and paper, better tracking of placements and partner engagement, and a more personalised student experience that helps attract talent and place graduates into jobs.
