One Centralized Platform Helps Auto Club Enterprises Give Back

Auto Club Enterprises, the largest AAA in the U.S. with auto clubs in 21 states, needed a centralized, user-friendly platform to organize and promote volunteer events across its highly federated organization. After launching Salesforce.org Philanthropy Cloud as its VTO platform in January 2020, the company faced a sudden challenge when the COVID-19 pandemic forced employees to work remotely and canceled all in-person volunteering activities.

By using Philanthropy Cloud as a one-stop hub, Auto Club quickly pivoted to virtual events and digital giving—running a Webex telethon featuring 36 leaders and a digital “change jar” campaign, and enabling payroll and credit-card donations within the platform. The centralized solution kept employees engaged across markets, streamlined event management and donations in real time, and helped the company raise more than $760,000 in two weeks.
