Nesta is an innovation charity that backs new ideas to tackle social challenges—from aging and public services to healthcare and machine learning. With 180 staff and dozens of global partners, Nesta faced fragmented data across multiple silos that hindered joined-up conversations, efficient grant management, transparent impact measurement, and targeted event outreach.

In April 2016 Nesta adopted Salesforce Sales Cloud and App Cloud as a single platform to record partners, grants and events. The CRM automated approval workflows and payment reminders, created personalised dashboards, introduced custom impact‑measurement plans and made data export to 360Giving simple. As a result Nesta speeds up grant payments, improves transparency and reporting, better targets and measures event attendance, and unlocks insights that support new collaborations.
