Musicians On Call brings live and recorded music to patients at bedside across 22 U.S. cities, but its small staff needed more effective, personalized marketing to engage volunteers and donors. The nonprofit’s basic email tool offered limited reporting, unattractive templates, and poor integration with its existing Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack, so MOC sought a solution that would support mobile-responsive, region-specific communications and tie directly to their constituent data.

MOC implemented Salesforce Pardot, which integrated with NPSP to provide web tracking, dynamic content, automated email journeys, and A/B testing. The new program produced professional, targeted newsletters with a 65% open rate and 80% of readers reading through, drove 50–60% engagement on general emails, improved donor attribution and insights, and replaced multiple piecemeal tools at a lower cost.
