Mile High United Way, the Denver chapter of the century-old United Way network, needed to shift from transactional fundraising to relationship-driven engagement as donors demanded more personalized, impact-focused communications. Faced with fragmented constituent data and the persistent challenge of donor retention, the organization sought a platform to unify profiles and deliver targeted outreach at scale.

By implementing Sales Cloud to centralize constituent data, Service Cloud to manage donor inquiries, and Marketing Cloud (including Dynamic Content, Automation Studio, and A/B testing) for segmented email journeys, Mile High built a 360-degree view of supporters and automated tailored communications. The result: donors who received the targeted email series retained at a rate 6% higher and gave 49% more, enabling scalable, relationship-style engagement that mirrors face-to-face interactions.
