A Salesforce for Nonprofits Case Study
Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business faced fragmented legacy systems and siloed data that hindered transparency, efficiency, and its ability to manage relationships across recruitment, student services, and alumni engagement. With high expectations for personalized service and global outreach, the school needed a single platform to consolidate information and streamline processes.
McDonough implemented Salesforce (Sales Cloud, App Cloud, Salesforce1 and Chatter) as its core system to unify departmental data, replace or integrate about 10 legacy processes, and manage more than 1,000 executive program applicants. The platform delivered real-time analytics, improved recruiting and alumni relationship management, mobile access for staff on the go, and measurable gains in efficiency, resource management, and personalized engagement.
