A Salesforce for Nonprofits Case Study

Preview of the Liberty Asia Case Study

Liberty Asia uses cutting-edge tech to fight modern-day slavery

Liberty Asia, founded by Duncan Jepson, is a tech-driven NGO start-up tackling modern slavery across Asia. Faced with widespread sex trafficking, forced labor and cross-border exploitation—and fragmented, paper- or spreadsheet-based record-keeping that left victims vulnerable—Liberty Asia set out to improve communication, case management and visibility so victims wouldn’t fall through the cracks.

In partnership with Salesforce.org they built a secure, cloud-based victim case management system and data collection app that lets 24 contributing NGOs store, share and analyze client data, identify trafficking patterns and pinpoint hotspots, and channel intelligence to the private sector and law enforcement. The platform has processed 1,610 trafficker names, enabled 5,200 financial institutions to screen for matches, and improved cross-border tracking and targeted prevention and rescue efforts.
