KIPP unifies student, alumni data and simplifies donor management

KIPP, a national network of more than 30 charter management organizations, supports students from school through college and beyond but lacked a single system to track student goals (college applications, FAFSA completion, matriculation) and alumni outcomes across sites. The Foundation also relied on outdated, manual systems for staff recruitment and donor management that constrained access, reporting, and staff time.

KIPP built a unified platform on Salesforce (Force.com/App Cloud and Sales Cloud), launching the KIPP Through College (KTC) alumni tracker in 2009 and later adding a staff-application portal and a modern donor-management system. The result: a single source of truth for student and alumni data that drives improved counseling and instructional practices, more effective teacher sourcing, and dramatically faster, scalable donor workflows—freeing staff to focus on programmatic work and relationships.
