How WELD Seattle Streamlined Program Administration

Weld Seattle supports criminal justice system-impacted individuals with housing, employment, and other resources through its Weld Works program, but managing applications, job placements, and client hour tracking was taking too much staff time. The nonprofit worked with Salesforce for Nonprofits and the Pro Bono Program to improve its Salesforce system and streamline program administration.

With help from Salesforce for Nonprofits employee Steve Cooper, Weld Seattle created two website forms—one for employers to post jobs and one for clients to apply—that feed directly into Salesforce. This let staff match job seekers faster, track hours worked, spend less time on administration, and report outcomes more effectively to funders, while supporting a program that cut re-arrest rates from 76% to 3%.
