The London School of Economics (LSE), a globally diverse institution committed to widening participation, needed to engage prospective students earlier, track hundreds of applications from WP and general admissions, and break down administrative silos to deliver a high-quality digital and on‑campus experience. The challenge was to personalise outreach and give staff a unified, real-time view of applicants and student interactions.
LSE implemented Salesforce (Sales, Service, Community and Marketing Clouds, plus Education Cloud capabilities) to enable advanced segmentation, automated application workflows, a dedicated admissions portal, and a mobile app that captures attendance at 200+ events. The platform created a 360° view of prospects and students, raised event email click‑through rates to 25%, streamlined admissions visibility, and set the school on a roadmap to an end‑to‑end digital student lifecycle with deeper analytics via Einstein Discovery.
