Homeless Link Tackle Homelessness in the UK with Salesforce

Homeless Link is the national membership charity for homeless services in England, supporting about 550 organisations and thousands of people sleeping rough. Facing the need to coordinate case data, improve frontline services and reporting, scale public referrals, and administer large government grants with minimal overhead, the organisation needed a digital platform to streamline operations and measure outcomes.

Using Salesforce (Sales, Service and App Clouds, Community Cloud and Chatter) Homeless Link built apps like In-Form (used by 8,500 staff across 75 charities) and StreetLink, created a national data lab of ~200,000 anonymized case records, and digitised grant administration. The result: faster support and clearer impact measurement, 30,000 StreetLink referrals with 12,000 people found, grant admin costs under 5% on a £20m programme, improved member insights and more resources focused on reducing homelessness.
