Hamilton Families, a San Francisco Bay Area nonprofit working to end family homelessness, grew from an overnight shelter into a multi-program housing initiative but was hampered by paper files and Excel spreadsheets as demand rose. The organization needed a scalable technology to engage families and partners, speed the housing search process, and better track program outcomes.
Working with Cloud for Good, Hamilton Families implemented Salesforce Community Cloud to build a shared, searchable housing database and real-time collaboration portal for staff, partners, and families. The tool automates applications, enables families to filter and pursue units directly, and provides dashboards for daily monitoring — changes that have helped Hamilton Families triple its housing success rate and scale its efforts while increasing accessibility (including Spanish translations).
