Grameen Foundation is a global nonprofit focused on breaking the cycle of poverty across sub‑Saharan Africa, Asia, MENA and Latin America. Facing the challenge of collecting reliable field data and scaling poverty‑focused services in low‑connectivity environments, the organization needed tools to better understand beneficiaries, improve operations, and extend its reach.
Using Sales Cloud and the Force.com platform, Grameen built TaroWorks—an Android mobile data‑collection and outreach app that works online and offline and feeds real‑time analytics into Salesforce. The solution enabled faster, more accurate field data collection and analysis, improved targeting and marketing experiments, and boosted sales and customer satisfaction; Salesforce is now used by 100+ staff for CRM, fundraising, volunteer, project and performance management.
