Case Study: Youth Business International achieves global scale in supporting underserved young entrepreneurs with Salesforce for Nonprofits

A Salesforce for Nonprofits Case Study

Preview of the Youth Business International Case Study

Global network of nonprofit initiatives helps more under-served young people start or grow their own businesses

Youth Business International (YBI) is a global network of roughly 45 nonprofit partners in over 40 countries that helps underserved young people start and grow businesses. Faced with a dispersed, multilingual membership and growing pressure from donors to show impact and financial transparency, YBI needed a way to capture and share entrepreneur data from laptops and smartphones worldwide and give its members the visibility and agility to deliver better outcomes.

YBI implemented Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud, Chatter, App Cloud and mobile) across its network, deploying a grant-management app, mobile access, and collaborative communities for mentoring and best practice. The platform delivered a single view of activity, improved monitoring and reporting (informing IMF/Bank analysis), boosted collaboration, supported fundraising ($14.2M raised in one 15-month period), and enabled rapid expansion of Salesforce to more countries.
