Epilepsy Foundation Reduces Duplicate Donor Records With Salesforce Accelerators

The Epilepsy Foundation, a nonprofit supporting more than 3 million people with epilepsy, adopted Salesforce to improve fundraising and program support. After merging 30 years of donor data from their legacy iMIS system, staff faced widespread duplicate records that forced fundraisers to repeatedly check donor information, slowing outreach and stressing operations.

To fix this, they used the Salesforce Duplicate Management Accelerator: a specialist reviewed existing processes, implemented a deduplication workflow in under a week, and trained the tech team. The result: real-time alerts to prevent duplicates, smaller weekly duplicate reports, higher data quality, reduced administrative time and costs, and improved fundraising efficiency.
