Education and Employers is a UK charity that connects schools with volunteers to broaden pupils’ career horizons and fill school governor vacancies. With a small, mostly London‑based team overseeing tens of thousands of volunteers and thousands of school visits each year, the organisation needed a way to securely match people to opportunities, coordinate activity at scale, and demonstrate impact to funders.

Using Salesforce (NPSP, Community Cloud and Chatter) the charity built integrated volunteer, teacher and governor communities with mapping, automated workflows and a knowledge library. The platform now supports 40–45k+ users, streamlines volunteer matching and collaboration, improves reporting and impact measurement, and has already registered over 2,000 governor vacancies while helping deliver thousands of school visits and millions of pupil interactions.
