Meals on Wheels San Francisco (MOWSF) provides daily meals and safety checks to homebound seniors across the city, delivering more than two million meals in 2018. Faced with growing demand and fragmented systems—spreadsheets, paper files and a web tool—MOWSF needed a single platform to manage complex logistics, client assessments, routes and volunteer coordination at scale.

MOWSF implemented Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPSP) with Process Builder, Volunteers for Salesforce, Apsona and Lightning to centralize client records, automate workflows, provide mobile driver delivery lists and capture real‑time safety data. The platform halved invoice processing time, saved about 20 staff hours per week on volunteer management, put 41 of 80 staff on Salesforce, and enabled faster follow‑ups and better reporting to improve client care and program efficiency.
