Children on the Edge maximises resources to reach more forgotten children with Salesforce

Children on the Edge is a small UK charity that supports neglected and persecuted children in developing and conflict-affected countries, working in places like Burma and Bangladesh to restore education, safety and hope. Facing limited resources and fragmented data in spreadsheets, the organisation needed a simple, scalable platform to centralise operations, improve fundraising and ensure no donor or grant opportunity slipped through the net.

The charity deployed Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), learning and configuring the system without an internal IT team, and integrated it with MailChimp and its banking reconciliation process. Salesforce now manages grants (including scoring and prioritisation), assets, staff workflows and donor relationships, delivering accurate finances, streamlined campaigning and richer data insights. As a result, operational efficiency and fundraising improved significantly—month-on-month donations doubled in 2016—and the organisation can reach more children with the same resources.
