Case Western Reserve Remaps the Student Experience with Advisor Link

Case Western Reserve University, a leading research institution with a diverse and ambitious student body, launched a campus-wide Student Success initiative to boost retention, satisfaction and graduation rates. The challenge was improving the student experience by increasing engagement and giving student success navigators better visibility and tools for a scalable, personalized approach—capabilities their existing systems could not provide.

The university adopted a “high-touch / high-tech” strategy using Salesforce.org Education Cloud and Advisor Link to create a unified 360-degree view of students, reduce the number of systems navigators used, and centralize appointments, success plans, referrals and communications. Within the first year all undergraduates were onboarded and assigned success teams, yielding more than 10,000 appointments, 86% undergraduate engagement, roughly 680 success plans and 410 referrals—along with measurable gains in first-to-second-year retention and easier, more effective student support.
