Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) is a pioneering, fully online university serving 73,081 students across 134 countries in Catalan, Spanish and English. Facing 933 programmes and 150 corporate partnerships, UOC needed to boost global awareness and enrolment but was hampered by legacy, siloed systems that limited personalised marketing and slowed recruitment response times.
UOC implemented Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Journey Builder, Lightning) and Education Data Architecture to replace five legacy systems and integrate others, creating a 360° student view and automated, ultra‑personalised journeys by program, language and region. Within a year UOC generated 200,000+ high‑quality leads, contacted prospects in under 10 minutes, sent 21,000 customised newsletter editions to 500,000+ prospects, and grew bachelor enrolment by 33% and master’s enrolment by 87%, outpacing the market.
