Purolator - Customer Case Study

Purolator, a leading courier, freight, and logistics company, faced the challenge of improving supply chain efficiency and customer pricing across hundreds of thousands of shipments while protecting operating margins. The company wanted to use AI and advanced analytics to better predict Variable Operating Margin (VOM) and identify loss-making shipments earlier. SalesChoice was brought in to support this effort with its Data Science as a Service (DSaaS) approach.

SalesChoice worked with Purolator’s revenue operations, analytics, IT, and finance teams to assess data lineage and governance, validate shipment and costing data, build a customized AI model, and create PowerBI visualizations for a proof of concept. The solution helped Purolator predict Variable Operating Margin at least two months earlier than before, giving teams more time to identify issues and improve customer experiences. SalesChoice also advanced the model toward simulation and production use.
