Carlson Rezidor, one of the world’s largest hotel groups, was facing very high online booking abandonment rates of over 80% across its APAC properties. It turned to SaleCycle and its email remarketing service to help re-engage visitors who had left before completing a reservation and make it easier for them to return.
SaleCycle implemented a multi-cycle email remarketing strategy, sending a first reminder one hour after abandonment and a second email 24 hours later with property benefits and booking details. The campaign delivered strong results: over 20% of returning visitors completed a reservation, average open rates exceeded 53%, and 25.8% of abandoners came back to their booking.
