BHS, a leading British retailer with both high-street and online presence, was struggling with high cart abandonment rates and wanted to improve the online shopping experience. To address this, BHS partnered with SaleCycle and used its multi-cycle email remarketing service to re-engage shoppers who left items in their baskets.
SaleCycle implemented a series of abandoned-cart emails sent one hour, one day, and five days after abandonment, with the final message including a short customer survey. The campaign achieved a 12% conversion-from-send rate, nearly 6% of third-email openers submitted survey responses, and the feedback helped BHS identify checkout improvements to reduce future abandonment.
