Teenie Tots Childminding, a childminding service in Kirriemuir, Scotland, needed to bring its children's book to life. The book was designed to help young children overcome their nerves about starting with a new childminder. Owner Christine Brown partnered with Salamandra.uk to create an animated version of the book to make the story more engaging and comforting for its young audience.

Salamandra.uk produced a 2D cut-out style animation from the book's illustrations, layering assets to create movement and even using the author's own voice for a warm, authentic narration. The resulting 3-minute 30-second animation was not only well-received by the client but also won the Silver Prize for Animated Short at the Latitude Film Awards 2020, providing international recognition for the project.
