R+V Versicherung AG is one of Germany’s largest insurers with over 14,600 employees and a complex landscape of digital identities across many systems. Faced with a discontinued user-management solution, high fluctuations in authorizations and risks from over‑provisioned accounts, the company needed a flexible, auditable identity governance platform to reduce security and compliance exposure.

R+V implemented SailPoint’s identity platform to centralize and automate access requests, approvals and certification across its environment. Today SailPoint manages 52 applications, processes more than 600 authorization changes daily, replaced manual Excel processes with a web-based workflow, and delivered faster request handling, stronger audit trails and improved compliance — with plans to extend coverage to PAM, file access, Azure and Salesforce.
