Globe Telecom, a leading Philippine telecommunications provider serving over 85 million customers and supported by thousands of employees and partners, faced major identity and access challenges during its digital transformation. Manual onboarding and approval processes (taking about 19 days), insecure password practices, lingering accounts after departures, and difficulty enforcing least-privilege for employees, vendors and contractors were creating delays, audit gaps and security risk.
Globe partnered with SailPoint to deploy a unified identity program integrated with Workday, Fieldglass, Active Directory and other systems, automating lifecycle management and access provisioning. As a result, new hires now have access activated on day one (with credentials available five days before start), deprovisioning and compliance have improved, and overall cybersecurity and remote-work readiness have been strengthened.
