Aboitiz anchors transformation in identity

Aboitiz, a large Philippine conglomerate undergoing a “Great Transformation” into a tech-focused business, faced major identity and access management challenges across 47 business units, 14,000+ staff accounts, and hundreds of applications. With manual, ad hoc processes that could take five days to provision accounts and 21 days to deactivate them, Aboitiz turned to SailPoint Technologies and its identity governance and administration solution to support its zero-trust and cloud strategy.

SailPoint Technologies implemented identity security automation to streamline provisioning, deprovisioning, access control, and compliance reporting, first on-premises and later through SailPoint Identity Security Cloud. The results were significant: new-hire accounts are now created instantly, deactivation is immediate, and by October 2022 the system had created 1,300 accounts, suspended 476, and completed over 59,000 modifications; today it monitors more than 22,600 accounts across 47 business units, with 144,000+ modifications or transfers completed and 60% of accounts verified.
