Trane Technologies, a global HVAC and refrigeration manufacturer focused on sustainability, needed a scalable way to replace its manual identity and access management processes. With more than 100,000 support tickets handled each year by an 18-person team, the company turned to SailPoint Technologies and its cloud-based identity governance and administration platform, SailPoint IdentityNow, to support secure access for employees, partners, and customers.

SailPoint Technologies implemented IdentityNow and SailPoint SaaS Workflows to automate Active Directory provisioning, approvals, offboarding, and ongoing access governance, with ServiceNow as the approval engine. The results were significant: more than 42,000 accounts were created automatically, over 40,000 previously manual tickets are now processed by the system, access requests are fulfilled in about 30 seconds after approval, and 12,000+ workflow-driven processes have already been completed, improving efficiency, compliance, and scalability.
