A SAI Global Case Study
Borealis, a Vienna‑headquartered company with customers in 120 countries, needed to update its Ethics Policy and roll out new anti‑corruption and issuer compliance training after changes in Austrian law and the UK Bribery Act. Because many employees are treated as public officials under Austrian law (due to majority shareholding by IPIC), Borealis faced strict rules on gifts and hospitality and required role‑specific, easily deployable training without heavy internal resource use. To meet these needs they selected SAI Global’s e‑learning offering.
SAI Global delivered an interactive e‑learning platform and library content, providing tailored compliance and ethics courses in 12 languages with minimal customization. The solution enabled role‑based learning that employees can schedule from any location, addressed issuer compliance needs tied to bond listing, and increased accessibility and awareness across Borealis’ global workforce—delivering multilingual, relevant training while reducing internal development effort.
