Preview of the Kier Group Case Study

Kier Group Implements New Global Anti-Bribery Programme

Kier Group, a leading construction, development and services group with over 11,000 employees, faced elevated bribery and corruption exposure after the introduction of the UK Bribery Act due to complex supply chains and operations in high-risk countries. Kier selected SAI Global to work with its in-house legal team to identify and prioritise bribery risks, develop proportionate anti-bribery policies aligned with Ministry of Justice guidelines, and deliver training using SAI Global’s Preventing Bribery & Corruption eLearning.

SAI Global carried out a thorough risk assessment (26 interviews plus focus groups and a survey), helped draft plain-English policies and customised eLearning, and delivered the course to 6,356 people via its learning platform, providing a full audit trail and completion monitoring. The engagement gave Kier a clear map of bribery risks across its territories, enabled prioritisation of resources to high-risk areas, embedded controls and expected behaviours, and produced measurable training coverage and ongoing compliance tracking.
