AmSpec, an oil, gas, chemical and agricultural testing company based in Cranbury, NJ, was struggling with manual AR processes: a homegrown Excel BI tool tied to Sage X3 required one collector to send monthly spreadsheets to 1,600 customers, caused server overloads, high staff turnover, and left 80% of AP contacts missing. To address this, AmSpec engaged Sage Network and adopted the Lockstep Receivables solution to automate statements and improve contact management.

Sage Network implemented Lockstep Receivables integrated with AmSpec’s Sage X3 ERP to pull accurate AP contacts, automate outreach, and prompt customers for correct payer information. The change boosted correct AP contact rates from 20% to 75%, cut DSO by 12.5% (freeing $10.1M in working capital), saved about 10,600 manual hours annually, tripled collector productivity, and eliminated turnover—demonstrating measurable operational and financial gains from Sage Network’s solution.
