Wholesale distributor eliminates stock-outs and optimizes inventory holdings with Sage Inventory Advisor

Warwick Hanger, a Westerly, RI manufacturer and distributor of residential and light-commercial pipe hangers, was growing rapidly (from about 60 SKUs to 1,000) and struggled to balance overstocking against costly stock-outs while running Sage 100. To get better visibility and optimize inventory, the company turned to Sage Inventory Advisor to address chronic overordering, surprise stock-outs, and poor fill rates.

Sage Inventory Advisor was implemented rapidly (remotely) and linked to Warwick Hanger’s Sage 100 data, providing dashboards for lead times, stock holdings, BOM-driven forecasts, and reorder recommendations. The result: fill rates rose from about 50% to roughly 90%, stock-outs were effectively eliminated, container purchasing and replenishment planning dropped from two days to two minutes, and inventory levels did not increase even as the company expanded into four new territories—delivering measurable savings and paying for the solution.
