Ward Packaging, a packaging distributor serving catering, hospitality and retail customers across Perth and WA country areas, needed to meet demand without overstocking a diverse catalog of more than 2,000 products (including biodegradable, recyclable, custom-printed and Ecostyle Bamboo lines). To tackle this challenge, Ward Packaging implemented Sage Inventory Advisor, integrated with Sage 300 ERP.

Sage Inventory Advisor profiled products by sales value and unit movement and used its matrix to prioritize stock and set differentiated inventory policies; as a result, Ward Packaging increased fill rate by 5%, beat its previous best sales month in four of the last nine months, and delivered significant inventory improvements — excess inventory down 36%, stock-outs down 68% and surplus orders down 85%.
