A Sage Intacct Case Study
University Clinical Health (UCH) is a nonprofit clinical practice with more than 100 physicians across multiple specialties and locations. As UCH spun off companies and shifted to a multi-entity, multi-facility model, its legacy CODA mainframe accounting system could not keep up. The finance team needed a flexible, cloud-based ERP that would provide multi-entity transparency, reduce manual data entry and IT overhead, support paperless workflows, and integrate with payroll and clinical systems.
UCH implemented Sage Intacct with LBMC Technology Solutions to streamline financial workflows, import patient charges from GE Centricity, and centralize contract and revenue management. The change automated invoicing, A/R and reporting, improved multi-entity consolidations and dashboards, and enabled physician- and department-level profitability reporting. Results include more than $500,000 in annual staff and IT savings, a 1.5 FTE reduction, eight days freed per month, a nearly 40% faster monthly close, and an immediate $125,000 improvement in cash flow.
