A Sage Intacct Case Study
United Fire, a family-owned Portland company founded in 1969, provides maintenance, testing, and inspection for commercial fire protection equipment. The business relied on a decades-old DOS accounting system (Anzio Lite) that was unstable, hard to use, and provided little financial visibility, hindering growth and causing duplicate data entry after adopting ServiceTrade for technicians.
Working with Sage Intacct and partner Leap the Pond, United Fire migrated to a cloud financial platform that integrated with ServiceTrade and added 2C Processor for payments, automating month-end closes and invoicing and enabling fast dashboard reporting. The result: overdue A/R fell from 55% to 22% (about a 60% reduction), cash flow improved, sales grew 25%, manual errors and data entry were reduced, and leadership gained the visibility needed to hire staff and scale the business.
