A Sage Intacct Case Study
UNITI, a partnership of three sister societies including Semiahmoo House Society, provides services and inclusive housing for people with disabilities in British Columbia. Rapid growth—new government contracts, program expansion, and a 60% increase in housing capacity—had made budgeting, multi-entity reporting, and property management overly complex for the $20M CAD organization, and after 20 years on Sage 300 the finance team needed a modern, secure solution.
Working with Cantatus, UNITI migrated to Sage Intacct (adding Yooz for AP automation), using dimensions to harmonize and reduce the chart of accounts by 50x, automate intercompany reconciliations (saving ~20 days/year), and speed purchase-to-pay workflows. The transformation boosted finance productivity by 30%, improved forecasting and granular visibility for property and program planning, and created room to scale with less headcount.
