A Sage Intacct Case Study
FoodCorps is a national nonprofit (founded 2010) that connects about 170,000 children across 373 schools with hands-on nutrition and food-education programs. As the organization scaled, its finance team relied on Excel for budgeting—an error-prone, siloed process involving 30 budget owners that consumed many hours and limited transparency and collaboration.
FoodCorps implemented Sage Intacct Budgeting and Planning (integrated with its Sage Intacct accounting system) in a self-led rollout over several weeks, gaining live budgeting, forecasting, and reporting capabilities. The change boosted budgeting efficiency by 85%, eliminated 40–50 hours of manual consolidation, cut GL data upload time from six hours to about 30 minutes, and improved analytics, transparency, and collaboration—helping leaders make faster, better-informed decisions.
